About the position
This interesting role is responsible for developing and delivering a digital strand of AGWA activity, adding an additional layer to the presentation of world class art displayed at AGWA.
Through digital programming, the position develops work that engages audiences through technology and drives innovative content with AGWA’s artists.
We are seeking a person that can innovatively use digital platforms to create high quality experiences and interactions between AGWA, artists and the public and to broadcast these to maximise global presence and reach.
The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the State’s premier Art Museum. Situated in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre, the Main and Centenary Galleries house the State Art Collection of over 18,700 works by renowned local and international artists from the 1800’s to today, including approximately 3,000 Aboriginal works. In 2020, the Gallery celebrated 125 years of operation.

Other Conditions
This is a full-time position, for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of a 12-month extension.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to the commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - fixed term, part time and full time.
