
We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, suitable applicants will assist in the delivery of planned education programs, particularly supporting students in literacy and numeracy. In this role you will ideally collaborate and work in a team environment, possess good written and oral communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as display the ability to support general health and well-being of students. Suitable applicants should ideally be organised and be able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
It is highly desirable that the suitable applicants are self-reflective, welcome feedback and committed to ongoing growth of their practice. Positive and passionate applicants who are willing to work closely with the classroom teacher to help create and maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment along with experience in a mainstream setting or the capacity to learn and take directions, are encouraged to apply.
