Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Service Delivery is the key interface with schools. Its purpose is to plan, coordinate and deliver targeted services that support schools and regions to improve student achievement.
The Secondary Schools, District High Schools and Post-School Pathways Directorate provides coordinated expertise to regions and secondary schools identified as requiring support.
The Role
The Projects and Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the implementation of system strategies, policies, and initiatives that enhance student outcomes. This position contributes to the development and delivery of professional learning resources, coordinates subject matter expertise for system responses, and assists with planning, implementing, and evaluating projects and programs. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the role supports the effective development and delivery of policies and initiatives while maintaining administrative systems and processes that support Statewide Services.
This role involves gathering and analysing data to inform future planning, preparing written documentation including ministerial responses and briefing notes, and providing executive support to committees and working groups.
In this role you will assist in financial and administrative duties, including procurement and contract management, while maintaining online and electronic resources related to project management. You will be required to work autonomously and collaboratively in providing project support across the branch.
