We are seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Education Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
About Us
The ‘Baynton West Way’ has become a way of life for many of our students and staff. Integrity, innovation, dedication and caring are our key guiding beacons, and our school vision of, ‘Children are at the heart of our school’ embodies everything we do each day.
Our school staff are committed to building positive relationships, with the motivation to pursue excellence. Our dedicated and professional staff maintain an environment which supports each child every day to achieve their personal best. We are leaders in explicit instruction, with a strong culture of collaboration which is authentic and practiced every day, with common year level DOTT (Duties other than Teaching) and classroom observations and coaching embedded – the environment is one of trust and open communication. We have strong connections to our community and through our Early Childhood Education team we support families to engage in meaningful interactions with their children to improve developmental outcomes before beginning school.

The Role
In the first instance we are actively seeking applicants to fill roles as a facilitator in our 0-4 Aboriginal Early Learning Centre, Waja Guma (0.8 FTE), and in our Kindergarten (0.6 FTE). Applicants may also be considered for any other roles that become available throughout the school year. Suitable applicants will ideally be passionate, motivated and skilled educators who are committed to our Early Years “playfully explicit” pedagogy. Applicants should have excellent knowledge and experience in teaching phonological awareness, phonics and oral language as well as experience and success in facilitating community engagement and supporting families to be their child’s first and best teachers.
It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, seek and accept feedback, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators with a passion to continually improve outcomes and school readiness for our youngest students and families.
