We are seeking to establish a pool of Workplace Learning Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during Term 2, 2025 and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The Workplace Learning Support Officer assists in establishing and operating the Structured Workplace Learning program. This includes evaluating enrolment and completion data, generating reports for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator, and helping secure appropriate industry placements for students.

The role involves conducting site checks, meeting with prospective employers, and supporting the selection, training, and induction of students, workplace supervisors, and assessors. The officer also reviews and authorises employer compliance checklists, monitors student progress, checks logbooks for satisfactory completion and working hours, and maintains program databases under the VET Coordinator’s direction.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with budget management, handling program paperwork and correspondence, and promoting the Department’s ethos by responding to community and parent inquiries. A strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures is important.
