The Role
As the Facilities Resource Coordinator, the successful applicant will oversee daily operations related to the management and maintenance of school grounds and amenities, supporting the Manager of Corporate Services (MCS) in supervising cleaning and gardening services and staff. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with service providers, contractors, stakeholders, the Principal, MCS, and staff.
Key responsibilities include implementing Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, coordinating emergency protocols, and handling minor repairs to maintain optimal facility conditions. The role also involves assisting the MCS in developing asset management strategies, preparing and managing budgets, evaluating tenders, and overseeing contracts. Additionally, the Facilities Resource Coordinator will schedule maintenance for gardening and cleaning equipment, and other school assets and resources as required, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation in all interactions with service providers and contractors.
