We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Safety Bay Primary School (PS) is located within the City of Rockingham, approximately 45 km south of Perth. The suburb of Safety Bay is surrounded by pristine beaches including Shoalwater Marine Park and popular ecotourism destinations, Penguin Island and Point Peron. Safety Bay Primary School (SBPS) is Rockingham’s oldest operating education facility, established on its current site in 1952. In 2009 the old school was rebuilt with twenty first century facilities and currently accommodates just under 600 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role
The School Officers are responsible for providing accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff, and community members using their excellent customer service skills. The suitable applicants will ideally possess good organisational skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure, have an eye for detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.
School Officers are involved in maintaining school databases and ensuring the accuracy of records information systems, attention to detail should be one of your strengths. They work with Department of Education (DOE) software systems and software packages. Familiarity with DOE policies and processes would be desirable and ideally being proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. A strong working knowledge of online communication platforms is desirable.
As the School Officer, you will provide assistance entering student enrolment data, maintain student attendance records, absenteeism reports, staff and relief staff records and generates routine reports from the school databases. Experience with Compass and Schools Information System database (SIS) Administration is highly desirable and RM Billing would be beneficial. A strong working knowledge of the enrolment process is desirable.
