The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Support Coordinator to join our Student Services team and help enhance our school programs. The Student Support Coordinator will have a key role in the day to day running of a variety of student support programs and initiatives and should ensure an effective and responsive service for students. The successful applicant’s responsibilities include providing pastoral care, monitoring attendance, facilitating referral, managing and delivering targeted programs for identified students (Tier 2 and Tier 3) and connecting families with external services, including National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The successful applicant plays a key role in coordinating the successful running of the school’s Student Services team, programs and area and demonstrate exceptional skills in working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, school psychologist, and external partners, ensuring a coordinated and holistic approach to student support.
The successful applicant will actively engage in meetings and case conferences within the school, and when necessary, with external agencies. Additionally, you will provide support to the School Administration team in handling crisis management and response tasks as required.
Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with students with disability, trauma informed practice and skills in supporting students’ emotional regulation will be considered favourably. The successful applicant will display the ability to actively contribute to student Individual Education Plans, Behaviour and Wellbeing support plans and risk management plans and case manage students requiring additional support and intervention.
