The Role
The Deputy Principal plays a pivotal role in the school's leadership, working closely with the Principal and administrative team to foster a collaborative and innovative educational environment. This position requires a strong commitment to educational excellence, staff development, and student engagement.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Educational Leadership – develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities while fostering a shared sense of ownership among staff, students and the community. The role involves leading Literacy across our school.
- Staff Development – mentor, coach and support teachers and staff to enhance professional performance and drive continuous improvement. This includes support newly appointed and graduate teachers.
- Student Wellbeing – play a key role in enhancing student engagement and well-being. Experience in leading Positive Behaviour Support would be desirable.
- Change Management – lead strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Operational Oversight – ensure effective school operations through decision making aligned to school priorities.
- Leading the Year 3 – 6 learning team.
