Endeavour Primary School is located in the suburb of Port Kennedy, approximately 10km south of Rockingham. Working in partnership with the Endeavour Education Support Centre, we have formed Endeavour Schools to provide a truly inclusive setting for the benefit of all students from Kindergarten through to Year 6. The Role
The role will ideally consist of a split shift five days per week, 5am – 8.15am and 2.30pm – 6pm. As a team leader, the successful applicant will ideally have good communication and interpersonal skills. You will ideally inspire and lead a team of cleaning staff to ensure the school environment is maintained in accordance with Department of Education policies and procedures. You should have a sound knowledge of cleaning equipment, products and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
You will ideally also provide on the job induction training for all new cleaning staff, conduct monthly cleaning inspections as well as record and respond to issues and concerns detailed in the communications book. You will ideally liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters and be responsible for monitoring and ordering stock supplies and stocktake of cleaning resources.
The successful applicant should be responsible for closing the school, including setting the security alarm system, carrying out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other general cleaning. You will ideally also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning and removal of cobwebs.
Additionally, you will ideally be required to complete vacation cleaning duties, which may include the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required.
