Coolgardie Primary School (PS) is a Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) school located in the iconic gold mining town of Coolgardie, approximately 38 kms from Kalgoorlie Boulder.

The Role
We are actively seeking an experienced primary teacher with the desire to develop leadership skills. The position available includes classroom teaching, graduate mentoring, student services and administration/leadership opportunities for the right person.
As a primary teacher, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development. Your exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues will be highly valued in this role and will form part of the Student Services component of the role.
The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued. As a member of our team, you would leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.
Ideally you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices, with the ability to mentor our graduate teachers in the development of these skills.
The development of leadership skills and opportunities for administration may also be available throughout the year for the right person.
Senior Teachers, Level 3 Teachers, or any teacher who possesses the ability and desire to further develop their own career pathway are encouraged to apply.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
