The Role
WACOA Narrogin is seeking an enthusiastic person with experience in the cattle industry to join the team as an Agricultural Training Officer.
We are seeking a candidate with industry experience who is passionate about sharing their knowledge with upper-school students in a specialised Agricultural College environment. Our students are the future of farming and agriculture, and we are looking for individuals with the right mindset - whether or not they have the traditional qualifications, to help guide them on their journey. The usual qualifications needed for this role are a Certificate II or III in Agriculture, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In this role, successful applicants are required to do overtime work on rostered weekends, shared between our team of Technical Officers.
Agricultural Technical Officers play a key role in managing and operating one of the farm enterprises while delivering training and assessments in this hands-on context. The ideal candidate will have expertise in breeding and raising cattle and possess (or be supported to develop) a range of practical skills, including fencing, livestock care, machinery operation, and pasture and fodder production.
