The Role
Coastal Lakes College are seeking a dynamic individual who will work closely with the Executive Team and members of the broader Leadership team to provide operational leadership in the college.
The Manager of Operations has a role in promoting the college vision, and encouraging college staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the college’s vision and goals.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a high level of organisational, interpersonal and management skills. The Manager of Operations will liaise extensively with the Associate Principal, Deputy Principal, and Head of Learning Areas.
Specific duties of this role will include but is not limited to:
- National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) testing Coordination
- Online literacy and numeracy assessment (OLNA) testing Coordination
- Coordination of Literacy and Numeracy Intervention & Support
- Timetable Operations
- Coordination of Subject Selection On-line (SSO)
- Exam Coordination (special exam arrangements, scheduling, rooming and processes)
- Coordination of Orientation & Transition Programs
- Year 6 Transition Schedule
- Coordination of General and Year Group Parent Events
- Coordination of other school-based testing
- Coordination ELASTIK (is an innovative, real-time, low-stakes assessment platform) and logistics
- Coordination of Excursion applications and processes
- Enrolments
- Coordination of Immunisations and other whole-school operational events/activities.
There will also be a small teaching load as part of this position (of up to 0.4FTE).
The Manager of Operations will provide leadership support for the implementation of the college’s Business Plan along with administrative/operational assistance to the Associate Principal and Deputy Principal. The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of the operational requirements of a secondary school
You should have a flexible and solutions-based approach to problem solving to facilitate workforce effectiveness. It is highly desirable for the successful applicant to have Education Support experience due to Coastal Lakes College having purpose-built facilities to cater for Inclusive Education students.
