Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Road Safety and Drug Education branch delivers specialised prevention education to keep children and young people safe. The programs are designed to contribute to the reduction of road related injuries and harm from alcohol and other drug use. Its education strategies and resources are designed to build the capacity of teachers and schools to implement evidence-based school alcohol and other drug and road safety education programs.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to lead and assist the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education programs, projects, policies, procedures and guidelines with a focus on alcohol and other drug education. This role is integral in compiling data from a range of sources and identifying and establishing practices within the team to record and report on deliverables for variety of projects.
Your role will include developing and preparing reports, briefings, correspondence and responses relating to education programs. You will contribute to the development of strategies and procedures that support high quality, evidence-based prevention education in Western Australian schools; ensuring project delivery aligns with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy, objectives, and Department priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project coordination skills, data management and excellent strategic communication skills.
