Beachlands Primary School (PS), the smallest of the government schools within the City of Geraldton, provides a positive and welcoming environment to its 144 students from K to 6. The Role
The successful applicant should ideally be motivated and possess both the ability and willingness to develop and implement high quality physical education programs that build on fundamental movement skills in a range of sports. The successful applicant also would ideally be knowledgeable about the broader Western Australian Curriculum.
As an award-winning school for disability and inclusion, you will deliver a differentiated curriculum to highlight knowledge and ability to cater for students with varying, and at times, complex needs. You will deally adopt culturally responsive practices to develop relationships with, and cater for, the approximately 60% aboriginal student population and their families.
You will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
