
Rangeway Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Rangeway PS, located in Geraldton in the Midwest Region of WA. With enrolments of approximately 290 students, 74% are Aboriginal. Irregular attendance and high rates of transiency contribute to significant disadvantage factors which impact on learning potential of these students. The Role
Suitable applicants should ideally be organised and be able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment and managing resources and equipment used in the classroom.
As an Education Assistant – Mainstream, suitable applicants will have the ability to assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs across a variety of year levels and can work with individual students or small groups, including students at educational risk. Suitable applicants will also assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources, for use in classes, displays and demonstration, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Suitable applicants will ideally be resilient and demonstrate high care for students and have the belief that all students can make progress when they are supported appropriately. Suitable applicants should ideally be able to build and maintain successful relationships with students and other stakeholders and work as part of a team.
