Information Systems ECT are seeking to establish a recruitment pool of Program Analysts for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed-term full time and fixed-term part time appointments. About the Directorate
The Examinations, Certification and Testing (ECT) Directorate within the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, is responsible for implementing the logistics for the delivery of Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) course examinations and Externally Set Tasks (EST). It develops and maintains strategies to acknowledge student performance, including the development of online exam structures, and designs, implements, and evaluates educational measurement activities in Years 11 and 12, such as the moderation of external assessment activities.
The Directorate oversees the logistics for the delivery of the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) across Western Australia and manages the design, development, and analysis of tests, as well as the implementation of logistics for the Online Literacy Numeracy Assessment (OLNA). Ensuring the highest integrity of data, the Directorate is responsible for collecting, assuring, analysing, and reporting data within required timelines. Additionally, it facilitates a strong interface between schools and the Authority for data transfer and manages all reporting requirements, ensuring the efficacy of data reported to stakeholders.
The Role
In this role, you will contribute to the planning, development, and maintenance of new and existing computer systems and databases, ensuring they align with user requirements and organisational objectives. You will also provide technical support and training to users, ensuring the smooth operation of software applications and hardware. Collaborating with system owners and stakeholders, you will participate in post-implementation reviews and contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of existing systems.
Your responsibilities will also include preparing comprehensive system and user documentation that meets established standards and supports effective system functionality. You will assist in evaluating user requirements and provide input into project estimates for development phases. Staying informed of industry developments, you will maintain effective records and liaise with external agencies to support system development and maintenance.
