Wanted: A Data & Digital Governance Pool to join Landgate’s growing team
These are Permanent Full-Time positions; however, Part Time arrangements may be considered.
About the team/business unit
Corporate Services supports the operational business units to fully harness their potential to deliver on Landgate’s vision “to fully harness the value of where to power a thriving Western Australia”. The Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) branch is responsible for managing the delivery of ICT services with three major areas of focus: governance of the agency’s data, technological systems, and applications; support and development of core ICT services; and management of key ICT suppliers on behalf of the agency.
About the roles
Data & Digital Governance Analyst (x1)
- Undertakes product and data analysis and reporting activities in support of the data governance and product management functions.
- Gathers and analyses data, generating and maintaining reporting related to product performance and data governance activities, maintaining processes, procedures and other related documentation.
Senior Data Governance Analyst (x2)
- Works closely with data and product stakeholders from across the business in developing policies, procedures, standards and related initiatives designed to deliver continuous improvement in data management practices.
- Assesses data quality and implements improvements and involves reviewing data dictionaries, data lineage documentation, and resolving data governance related issues.
Data Governance Manager (x1)
- Leads a small team dedicated to maximising the value the agencies data assets whilst minimising risk by the development of and adherence to standardised data governance policies, standards and procedures.
- Actively engages with senior data stakeholders across the business in fostering continuous improvement of data management practices and progressing initiatives to meet the objectives outlined within Landgate’s Data Strategy, and implementation of the Data Governance Framework.
Digital Governance Manager (x3)
- Leads the governance activities required to monitor the performance and requirements of Landgate’s digital products in line with Landgate’s Product Management Framework.
- Oversees the transition of digital products across their lifecycles, and ensures that all required decisions, activities and outcomes are delivered by internal and external stakeholders.

Role Requirements
Essential Core Requirements for all roles:
- An effective communicator with the ability to tailor your communication style to suit your audience.
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of key stakeholders and service providers ensuring the delivery of Landgate’s essential ICT services.
To be successful in the Data & Digital Governance Analyst – L4 position, in addition to the Essential Core Requirements, please also demonstrate:
- Business analysis experience within a technology systems and/or data-oriented organisation or role with the ability to undertake research, prepare and present analytical reports and findings.
- Ability to learn new technology, develop and maintain processes and related documentation.
To be successful in the Senior Data Governance Analyst – L5 position, in addition to the Essential Core Requirements, please also demonstrate:
- Experience in data management, data analysis or business analysis within a data-oriented organisation or role, with the ability to lead initiatives and coordinate activities to deliver desired outcomes.
- Ability to learn new technology, develop and maintain processes and related documentation
To be successful in the Data Governance Manager – L6 position, in addition to the Essential Core Requirements, please also demonstrate:
- At least 3 years experience in a data management or similar role within an information management environment in a data related business or the field of data science.
- Experience and/or knowledge in Data Management Frameworks (DMBOK or similar).
- Previous experience in leading initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in data management and governance practices.
To be successful in the Digital Governance Manager – L6 position, in addition to the Essential Core Requirements, please also demonstrate:
- Experience in digital product management and stakeholder engagement with the ability to align people, data and technology in the delivery of fit-for-purpose digital products.
- Previous experience in leading initiatives designed to deliver continuous improvement of digital products.
