The Role
The successful applicant should ideally be dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic, who is passionate about Humanities subjects and the opportunities it provides for young people. Successful applicant will ideally have high expectations and display a commitment to excellence. They will ideally be able to use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.
As part of standard practice, the successful applicant should ideally be able to reflect on and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practices, using a variety of methods and apply that knowledge to catering for different student learning needs. Being student focused and collaborative, applicant should ideally be able to display positive learning outcomes for students across Years 7 to 12 and an ability to provide relevant and engaging courses linking to the Western Australian Curriculum.

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
