About the Role
Wananami Remote Community School (RCS) in 2023, was the winner of the Department of Education, Culturally Responsive Award. The school continues to provide a culturally responsive learning environment, embedded in Ngarinyin Culture for all students.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the positive school culture that promotes positive relationships between students, staff and parents and the wider community through a strong school community partnership, with high expectations, mutual respect and shared belief that all students can and will achieve success at Wananami RCS.
The principal must have a commitment to continuous school improvement and lead the implementation of targeted teaching as well as the Two-Way Science Initiative, Early Years Initiative. They will also be required to be actively involved in the West Kimberley Network of Schools and associated priorities with these schools, as well as sustaining a partnership with external agencies, and services that support the community to benefit school programs.
All principals are responsible for being innovative and creative in the establishment of systems and structures to foster students achievement as well as support whole school health and wellbeing programs.
