The Armadale Youth & Community Services Hub is seeking a motivated and supportive Student Support Officer. As a full service school, the Youth & Community Services Hub, located on the Armadale Senior High School (SHS) campus, provides assistance to young people with complex needs; providing targeted assistance within areas such as mental health support, school engagement, social services, sourcing temporary accommodation, parenting support, life skills training and specialist health services. As a Student Support Officer within this unique context, successful applicants will actively participate and contribute to the development of a positive culture aimed towards providing appropriate services for young people and their family; which could include completing assessments, planning and implementing intervention programs as well as providing opportunities for success.

We are seeking applicants who ideally have the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, delivering a high standard of evidence-based care to young people in a school context. As the Youth & Community Services Hub attracts referrals from five local secondary schools, suitable applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, young people and the wider community.
About the Full Service School

These young people may have been affected by a number of external factors (such as family circumstances, poverty, health, cultural differences or disengagement) and require additional support. Located on the Armadale SHS campus, the Youth & Community Services Hub supports the following schools with improving student attendance, behaviour and wellbeing:
