This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing March 2025 up until the end of April 2026 with possible extension.
Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short-term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.
The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools.

The Role
Program Kaartdijin is seeking a highly motivated Education Officer to join their dynamic team.
As a member of the Program, you will collaborate across Program workstreams to:
- Provide professional leadership and advice to principals on school directions and outcomes in relation to implementing Program Kaartdijin.
- Provide strategic advice to all stakeholders concerning the development and deployment of the Kaartdijin solution to ensure the Program meets the needs of schools.
- Facilitate opportunities for school leaders to access practical support, planning advice, information, professional learning and online resources to assist with the implementation of Program Kaartdijin.
A comprehensive understanding of current Department policies systems and processes in relation to school and student administration is essential. A focus on customer service and continuous improvement in relation to school support is a key component of this role.
