The Role
As a Boarding Supervisor - Female, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing and development of students in a residential college environment. You will be responsible for supervising students, ensuring their safety, and fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages positive behaviours and respect for multicultural diversity. This includes planning and facilitating a variety of recreational and educational activities that promote students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development. You will also manage student transportation, maintain accurate records, and report any wellbeing or safety concerns in line with Department policies and legislative requirements.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with students, college staff, parents, and school personnel to provide comprehensive support for student development. You will assist with distributing medications as needed, ensuring all actions align with established guidelines. Participation in college events, such as award ceremonies and open days, is expected, reflecting your commitment to student engagement and community involvement. Upholding the Public Sector Code of Ethics and maintaining high professional standards will be central to your duties as you contribute to a safe, inclusive, and enriching residential experience.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
- Obtain or hold (and maintain) a current Working with Children Check;
- Work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays;
- Obtain (prior to first rostered shift working with students) and maintain a current:
- First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID009); and
- First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID0011);
- Within six months of commencement of employment obtain and maintain a current:
- LR Class Driver’s Licence and a Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation;
- Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award*; and
- Surf Rescue Certificate*;
- Obtain a current Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42021) within six months of commencement of employment.
* Dependent on operational requirements as determined by College Manager.

- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated capacity to successfully meet and maintain the required eligibility and training requirements of this position.
