The Information and Communication Technologies Division is seeking to recruit a highly adaptable, experienced, and motivated Business Analyst with extensive expertise in business analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to thrive in any circumstance while bringing a wealth of knowledge and a strong track record of success in the field.
ICT Business Engagement is the primary entry point for requests for new technology solutions or significant changes to existing technology within our organisation. We handle initial engagements with organisational and external stakeholders, ensuring that our ICT efforts align with business needs and strategic goals.
The Role
If successful, you will play a crucial role in the strategic review of and planning for system capabilities in support of national enabling initiatives to enhance data and information for public reporting. Working across multiple projects, you will consider the interconnections of data, information, and required functionalities, and identify opportunities to leverage existing technologies and adopt a holistic approach to technology investments for the Department.
You will manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that requirements are in line with the specifications and timelines of each project.
You will collaborate closely with project teams, subject matter experts, solution architects, business systems analysts, and systems officers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business requirements, functional specifications, and business rules.
- Engage with organisational and external stakeholders to understand and document their needs.
- Improve short and long-term insights into customer requirements through effective engagement.
- Use customer-appropriate language and terminology to assist business units in their technology and solution choices.
- Support the creation of well-articulated business cases for new initiatives.
