
We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Mount Pleasant Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School situated in a riverside suburb, our parent group is predominantly business owners and professionals. The school, catering for Kindergarten to Year 6 students with a population of 560, is situated on a lovely, well treed and fully reticulated site in Queens Road Mt Pleasant. The Role
We are seeking reliable and motivated Mainstream Education Assistants to join our highly effective team of support staff with highly developed skills to support our students of the education program, who are also able to use initiative when needed under the teacher’s direction. A team player who can build effective working relationships will be highly desirable.

As an Education Assistant – Mainstream you should be organised and diligent, with a commitment to maximising student learning outcomes. Suitable applicants will ideally support the teacher to deliver explicit instruction and practices through small group work, individual instruction and intervention when required.
Ideally, you will have well developed strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills in a recent and relevant educational environment and be able to assist the teacher with the delivery of planned education programs. Initiative and the capacity to work independently to deliver specific interventions to small groups of students, would also be highly desirable qualities. The role also includes assisting with the care and well-being of students and maintaining equipment and resources in a safe, tidy learning environment.
