System Services and Responses are seeking to establish a pool of Executive Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of January, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Service Design and Support provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.
The Role
As an Executive Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support and coordination to, ensure the efficient coordination of day-to-day operations. This includes managing and coordination of correspondence and briefing notes, and responses.
Your role will also involve:
- acting as the key point of contact within Statewide Services
- liaising with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- ensuring the effective management of confidential and time sensitive enquiries which require appropriate referral and timely responses
- communicating effectively including in writing, and drafting related correspondence
- reporting and monitoring relevant system data related to the divisions system response activity
- conducting minor research and investigations into matters related to Statewide Services
- managing and adjusting information systems to facilitate accurate records and reporting
- initiating, establishing and monitoring office systems and databases
- administering and monitoring of budgets where requested, including the payment of accounts, monitoring of corporate card and travel expenditure.
- organise meetings and workshops as required
- undertaking minor project work to assist with progressing priority issues.
Working collaboratively across teams and business units, you will play an essential part in delivering integrated services to schools and the broader education system, ensuring engagement is culturally responsive and contextually appropriate.
