We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the beginning of 2025 up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you should be organised and able to use initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources, for use in classes. Suitable applicants will assist with displays and with cleaning and safe storage of items after classes and activities. They will assist the teacher with the care and supervision of students in out-of-class activities and on school excursions.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you should be motivated, organised and nurturing with a passion for working with students in a team environment. Suitable applicants should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to assist in the implementation and delivery of education programs and build meaningful relationships with children and their families. This role involves working as part of a dedicated team and provides you with the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community. You would support the overall health and emotional wellbeing of students and should use initiative and creativity to assist in the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
Mainstream Education Assistants may work in Kindergarten and Pre-Primary classroom roles or our successful intervention program in junior and middle blocks so being flexible and adaptable to change are favourable traits for this role. Suitable applicants should possess a deep commitment to developing positive and productive relationships, embedding a proactive, inclusive and respectful approach. They should be open to ongoing learning and development.
