In this role you will manage and maintain the College’s information technology network to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes and will provide advice to administrative staff on technical issues. We are seeking applicants with excellent communication skills, as the successful applicants will be required to provide training to users to support the implementation of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) consistent with the College’s ICT plan.
The successful applicants should have high level of computing knowledge in a high school context, with technical expertise to ensure the school’s information technology resources are used to their maximum effect within the standard operating environment. They should also be able to problem solve, work independently with minimum supervision and display initiative and a methodical approach to managing network systems and resources. The successful applicant will also provide advice and support to staff and students on tablets, laptops, desktops, servers, databases, web, intranet, and software applications, as well as classroom and device management solutions. They will research and identify appropriate software packages and other resources and assist with the installation and upgrading of audio–visual, CCTV and Information Technology systems. They will maintain accurate records of assets. They will also assist with the day-to-day monitoring of the ICT budgets.

The Role
Southern River College is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Network Administrator.
The role of the Network Administrator is to maintain the school’s Information Technology network to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes, within the Departmental asset management and security regulatory framework. You provide advice to administration staff on technical issues associated with the network system and provide technical support and training to all users. The Network Administrator will also provide input on system enhancements and implement new systems through research and identification of appropriate Information Technology resources.
