We are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
At Northam Primary School (PS), we cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and currently have just over 300 students. Our students come from the local town and from the outlying farms and rural properties.
Our school fosters a safe and inclusive learning environment; we focus on building positive relationships with students, parents, carers and with the wider community. Our staff, comprising of newly graduated teachers through to teachers with many years of experience and dedicated non-teaching staff, work together to develop individual potential through excellence in education. The Role
We are seeking conscientious and dedicated teachers who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Ideal candidates will be actively involved in both the school and wider community, highly reflective about their teaching practice, and committed to evidence-based decision-making and differentiation. Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
