Carnarvon Community College (CC) is seeking a passionate Science teacher to join our team.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a dedicated and highly motivated individual and ideally with a proven ability to provide quality teaching of the Science curriculum across Year 7 to Year 12. The successful applicant would ideally have experience in successfully teaching lower school Science and able to teach Science senior school courses. An ability to teach Mathematics is desirable.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative, and able to work effectively in a team environment. They will possess an engaging and energetic teaching style, promoting an environment of active and positive learning in their classroom. The successful applicant will ideally be committed to providing high quality learning opportunities and activities for all students, enabling each of them to make connections with the ‘real world’ and develop the skills needed to be successful at school and in the future.

Teachers and school administrators employed at Carnarvon Community College in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $5000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
