The Role
As the Deputy Principal, you will report directly to the Principal and collaborate with the administrative team to provide educational leadership and shape a positive school culture. Your responsibilities include developing and promoting the school’s values and vision, leading Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education initiatives to enhance student engagement and achievement and supporting the Academic Extension programme for high-achieving students. Additionally, you will mentor future leaders, fostering a culture of leadership development among staff and students, and encouraging participation in leadership training.
You will utilise effective change management strategies to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning practises, assisting in workforce effectiveness by motivating staff to enhance student outcomes. A key aspect of your role will be supervising the implementation of the Kaartidjin programme as our new Learning Management System (LMS) under the Information Communication Technology (ICT) portfolio, requiring high-level project management skills. You will also manage administrative systems to ensure effective school operations, including compliance with regulations and overseeing staff leave entitlements. Furthermore, you will lead a comprehensive lower school review process to evaluate curriculum effectiveness and recommend improvements.
