What We’re Looking For:

- Experience and Skills: Familiarity with Whole School Instructional Models, Explicit Instruction methods, and a strong grasp of whole-school Literacy and Numeracy are highly desirable. The ability to support Students at Educational Risk (SAER) and extension classes is a skill set we are looking for.

The Role
Gilmore College is seeking to employ a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant should have high expectations, with a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and can have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You should be a flexible and adaptive teacher, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching using the Gilmore College Whole School Instructional Model. An ability to teach Design and Technology across all year levels from Years 7 – 12 is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students. Your input in a high functioning team of Design and Technology teachers will be valued and lead to potential leadership opportunities in the areas of pedagogy, sustainability and curriculum.
