The Role
As a school officer, you should be the first point of contact for our students, families, staff and community and as such, a strong focus on customer service is key to this role. Suitable applicants should be professional, positive and friendly, with well-developed communication skills. The ideal candidates should work well in a team environment, display initiative and approach challenges with a solutions focused mindset.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail with great flexibility to move between tasks and different environments within our school and be able to deliver priority outcomes in a dynamic environment. Applicants with experience in enrolment procedures and processes, as well as operating a range of software packages including Integris, Compass, RM Billing, Microsoft Office Suite, Kaartdijin and Passtab are essential.
Responsibilities of the School Officer may include student attendance, undertaking reception duties, meeting and greeting visitors’, answering the telephone, responding to routine enquiries and requests for information, and maintaining school databases including records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up-to date. Working collaboratively with the Executive on managing projects (i.e. graduations, functions, parent forums) may also be part of this role.
