The Culture and the Arts team supports a thriving WA arts and cultural sector and promotes participation and achievement in culture and the arts. The team works to highlight the social and economic benefits to the community from the creation of, and engagement in, high-quality arts experiences, including increased wellbeing and connection. We support these activities through grants and investment programs, research and policy development. Through recognising the importance of sharing Western Australia’s unique stories and cultures, including those of First Nations peoples, we make our communities richer, more vibrant and more engaged
About the role
This is your opportunity to contribute to the development of Aboriginal arts and culture programs that support Aboriginal arts centres and language centres, as well as reconciliation and on Country programs.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the development and management of Aboriginal arts and cultural grant programs. In this key role, you will provide high-level strategic support, conduct essential research, offer expert advice, and shape policies that drive the success of our programs and services. You will oversee investment processes and provide valuable insights to inform and promote DLGSC’s objectives, ensuring meaningful impact and outcomes within the Aboriginal arts and cultural sector.

Location
This role is based at 140 William Street Perth, however, it may also be primarily located in one of DLGSC’s regional offices, which are in Carnarvon, Kalgoorlie, Albany, Broome, Kununurra, Geraldton, Mandurah, Karratha, Bunbury and Northam.
