Alkimos College is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills. Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world-class learning facilities. Each year we have added an additional cohort and will reach our full complement of Year 7 to 12 in 2025.
Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, Information Technology (IT) labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, nine science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a positive and passionate teacher of Mathematics, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Mathematics curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning, through to senior secondary courses. You will ideally be an enthusiastic adopter of a college wide instructional framework based on explicit teaching and instructional skills, strategies, and tactics. You will ideally be committed to personal and professional growth and embrace opportunities for collaboration. Graduates are welcomed to apply.
Successful applicant will ideally demonstrate the ability to develop innovative classroom practices and utilise Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to provide integrated, personalised, and authentic learning experiences for students. A key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are fun, purposeful, relevant and cater for differing student learning needs. Commitment to the college extra-curricular activities (after-school Academies) is highly desirable, as well as active promotion of the college motto, values and vision within the college and wider community.
