Manjimup Education Support Centre (MESC) is a Kindergarten to Year 12 facility in Manjimup that supports students with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and/or autism spectrum disorders. The centre personalises learning and collaborates with families and support agencies to create pathways for vocational and independent living. With over 30 years of experience, MESC currently serves 29 students with intensive staff support and small class sizes averaging seven students. Operating as a 'school within a school’, MESC shares the campus with Manjimup Primary and Senior High Schools, focusing on student abilities and fostering economic independence, well-being, and community contribution.

The Role
As a member of our collaborative team, you will ideally be a caring, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student. You will utilise your interpersonal acumen to access a range of supports and services for your students, collaborate with parents and coordinate this to align to the individual educational programs you deliver.
As an Education Support Teacher, you will deliver a differentiated curriculum which meets the needs of each student and have an expectation that all students can reach their potential. You should be a teacher who aspires for academic excellence and is committed to high quality teaching and learning.
You will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You should build positive relationships with students and their families and be passionate about creating positive futures for students regardless of their abilities. You should support major school directions and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives including our High Impact Teaching, Zones of Regulation and Positive Behaviour Support.
