The Role
Suitable applicants will be passionate, dedicated and motivated to work within a collaborative team across a range of ability levels. They ideally will have a sound understanding of the Year 7- 10 Western Australian English curriculum and the capacity to teach Senior School Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General courses. They should provide purposeful and engaging learning experiences which enable students to achieve their potential. They should have high expectations of all students, a commitment to excellence and be able to display success in student achievement through a strong evidenced based teaching approach.
Suitable applicants will ideally have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff and families. They will engage in reflective practice and be committed to whole-school pedagogical approaches. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for the position.
