Geraldton Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join their highly successful team.
Geraldton PS prides itself on its personal approach to families and pastoral care programs. We cater for both the needs of individual students as well as the education of all our students. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be an effective classroom practitioner and will work hard to ensure all students are engaged with the curriculum. You will ideally be a collaborative and positive teacher and will work with colleagues and the school leadership to ensure we provide a positive and uplifting environment where students succeed. You should be committed to ensuring all students succeed and are supported in their development.
The successful applicant will ideally have an inclusive approach and should be able to balance the explicit teaching approaches required to develop sound literacy and numeracy skills, with cooperative and collaborative teaching approaches that support social and emotional development and cater for differentiated needs.
Applicants should ideally possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
It is ideal for you to have either experience or understanding of using Sounds Write Explicit Phonics strategies, High Impact Teaching Strategies, and a strong understanding and/or experience with working with students with diagnosed or imputed disabilities.
