The Role
Ridge View SC is searching for a teacher to join the Academic Achievement Program to deliver numeracy to Year 7 and 8 students in a classroom setting, as well as facilitate small group literacy and numeracy intervention sessions. This position would suit a Secondary Mathematics or Primary Generalist teacher who is able to differentiate curriculum for Year 7 and 8 students with learning needs. Students in this program will require scaffolding and differentiated teaching to access curriculum in a small class environment. Flexibility and adaptability are considered necessary where instructional coaching, observation and feedback are a priority for the college. This position may include some delivery of mainstream lower school or upper school classes, depending on the successful applicant.
A teacher with a growth mindset and a desire for continuous improvement is highly desired. Ideally, the successful applicant should possess high standards of professionalism and embrace opportunities for collaboration within and beyond the college community. Working positively and effectively in teams and being open to new thinking is highly desirable.
