Curtin Primary School (PS) is a K-6 school located within the City of South Perth, on the Como/Manning border. It is often referred to as being like “A country school in the heart of the city”.
Curtin PS prides itself on being a connected, caring community. Together, we build a strong sense of belonging with all our families, students and staff. We enjoy our diversity, and the richness of cultural backgrounds, and value everyone being supported, safe and known.
We build strong connections between teachers, families and students of all ages working together and playing together. We expand learning outside the classroom walls with hands-on, connected activities, and we care for our environment, building towards a sustainable future.
We have a strong focus on developing the skills we need for life through innovation, creativity, inquiry, critical thinking and real-life experiences. Whole school approaches include PBS, a Connected Curriculum, multi-age learning groups, outdoor learning, creative thinking and play.
We feel privileged to have such beautiful grounds and to be surrounded by natural bushlands. Our Vision and Business Plan is very much focused on developing a sense of ‘place’ for the whole school community.
Successful applicants may also be considered for any vacancies that arise at McDougall Community Kindergarten in Manning during the 2025 school year. Curtin PS is the link school for McDougall Community Kindergarten, and McDougall Community Kindergarten is part of the Community Kindergarten Association. Both schools share a similar ethos, with a focus on hands-on and creative play and learning and learning through nature.
