The Role
Narrogin SHS is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Student Support Officer to join their dedicated Student Services team. The successful applicant will ideally have a passion for working with youth to make a significant difference in their lives.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant will support Student Services personnel to enhance Student behavior and engagement. The ability to manage and prioritise tasks to be completed on a daily basis whilst working in a pressure environment is advantageous.
The successful applicant will ideally be responsible for monitoring, recording and actioning of behavior and risk management plans. This should also involve meetings with students, parents and the wider community as the need arises.
The position will involve assisting in the entry of attendance, behavior and case management records when required using a variety of databases, student records and the school information system. The successful applicant will ideally possess strong organisational skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure. As a team member the applicant will ideally possess high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and be able to liaise with staff, parents, students and the wider school community.
