There has never been a more exciting time to join the Financial Services Directorate’s, School Financial Management and Support division as we move towards delivering a new school finance solution (TechnologyOne Cia and Compass Education) to 820+ public schools across Western Australia.

This talent register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for fixed term,
full-time and part-time opportunities up to twelve (12) months for a range of key positions across the School Financial Management and Support team.

The Department of Education’s priority and focus remains on appointing merit based selected staff, permanently.

Our division

The School Financial Management and Support division is part of the Financial Services Directorate of the Department. We provide both finance systems and transactional support services to all public schools in WA. The Department is rolling out a new School Finance system across all public schools in the State. The new software as a service (SaaS) solution consists of TechnologyOne Cia as the core finance solution which is integrated with Compass Education for student and debtor management and invoicing components.

Under the new solution, our division will be taking a wider finance system administration and support responsibility, particularly with TechnologyOne Cia with increased functionalities including end of period processing and user management, etc. We also expect continuous improvements and enhancements, including but not limited to, solution functionalities, workflows and reporting post initial deployment.

As we are expecting to do things differently – we are innovating our approach to planning, delivering, and operating school finance systems and operational (transactional) support to schools and are looking for people who want to make a significant contribution to our reform journey to improve the way we deliver services.
