The Role
The successful applicant should be a passionate teacher of Technologies, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. You will ideally possess professional knowledge, practice, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary Technologies curriculum using a positive, student-focused approach, and should have success working with students across a range of ability levels.
The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position. The successful applicant will ideally be able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. They should incorporate current and emerging technologies to best meet the needs of our students.
The ability to teach Year 7 to 12 Digital Technologies, with an interest in teaching some design technologies courses would be highly regarded.
The ideal applicant with a strong commitment to the development of their own pedagogy via avenues of reflective practice are encouraged to apply. Aspirant leaders with the ability to manage and support key programs and additional activities at Lynwood SHS will be highly regarded.
