This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025.
Kalamunda Senior High School is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and committed School Psychologist to provide exceptional health and wellbeing support to our school community and join our dedicated Student Services team.
The School Psychologist is responsible for delivering direct psychological services to identified clients, applying psychological skills and knowledge to improve mental health, learning and behavioural outcomes for students in collaboration with school personnel, parents, caregivers and other agencies. They will assist with the development and implementation of school-based support services and programs, and operate as a member of a collaborative and coordinated student services team.
The successful applicant will have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with staff, students, parents and the wider community. They will have a commitment to their own professional growth and development, and the ability to work together with the school administration to develop whole school initiatives to enhance the wellbeing of all members of the school community.
Kalamunda Senior High School (SHS) has an enviable reputation developed over 64 years of providing a quality education to all students. The school is proud of its outstanding achievement in the Gifted and Talented Visual Arts program, which is complemented by excellence in academic achievement, languages (Italian, Indonesian and Japanese), a specialist program in Outdoor Education and highly regarded Music and school based Performing Arts program.

- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
