Avonvale Primary School (PS) is a small community-based school. We are beginning our journey of implementing the Berry Street Education Model across our school. The Role
Avonvale PS is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener – Handyperson/s who will ideally have a passion for the outdoors and an ability to create and maintain a safe, enjoyable outdoor environment for staff, students and the community.
In this role you will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in a clean and tidy condition and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. You will maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition and perform minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines. You will provide advice and support to the Manager Corporate Services on school grounds maintenance and maintain accurate gardening records.
