Rockingham Lakes PS is an Independent Public School that opened in 2002 and is located in the established suburb of Port Kennedy. Current enrolment is approximately 450 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and the Peel Language Development School is co-located on site. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with our administrative team, staff and school community across both schools. It would be highly desirable to have a thorough working knowledge of Department of Education databases, records management systems and financial knowledge to support the corporate services team. The successful applicant should have knowledge and skills across the six functional areas of the corporate services framework. They should have experience and working knowledge with the use of the School Information System (SIS), Resource Management (RM) Finance, RM Billing, Student Information Records System (SIRS), School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCASA), Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS), the Schools Self Service portal and Microsoft Office programmes such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
The successful applicant will ideally have a friendly, positive and caring attitude and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school. They will ideally use initiative and possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work collaboratively with a range of people. The successful applicant should have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure, prioritising tasks in a dynamic workplace.
As a School Officer you should model effective, quality customer and administrative support service delivery to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff. In addition, you will support student-related activities such as assisting with student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages, particularly databases and word processing.
