Established in 1986, Ashburton Drive Primary School (PS) is located in Gosnells, a south-eastern suburb of Perth. The school is built upon historic farming land with a diverse wetlands located adjacent to the school. Abundant wildlife provides numerous opportunities for sustainable learning. The Western Australian Positive Behaviour Support (WA PBS) birds were chosen as they reflect our connection to this environment. Our community has approximately 420 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Staffed with a principal, 2 deputy principals, 26 teachers and numerous other support staff members including education assistants, clerical officers, cleaners and a gardener. Staff have a wide range of expertise with a broad range of experience.
The Ashburton Drive PS motto is 'Dream, Believe, Achieve' and the school song is, 'You Can Do It'. A friendly, positive school tone with a strong emphasis on teaching and encouraging students who uphold the school values is driven by the WA PBS program.

The Role
We are actively seeking a physical education primary teacher with exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a natural ability to communicate effectively, foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and with excellent organisation skills. As a physical education primary teacher, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.
Ideally you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.
As a member of our team, you would leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging physical education lessons. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future planning..
