The Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will provide support to teaching staff in preparing routine chemicals and equipment, as well as constructing simple apparatus for science classes, under supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key responsibilities include ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and performing basic repairs and maintenance on scientific equipment. Experience in labelling and storing laboratory chemicals and resources, along with knowledge of proper disposal methods for chemical, physical, and biological materials, will be highly valued.
The successful applicant should have initiative, good interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as exceptional organisational skills. Successful applicants will ideally be motivated and possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

- Demonstrated good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

- Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
