The Role
Bob Hawke College is seeking to appoint a creative, organised and friendly Library Officer to join our team.
As the successful applicant, you should be highly motivated, energetic and possess the qualities needed to promote an inclusive, safe and engaging learning space, where students can culture and nurture a love of reading. Additionally, you should play a key role in supporting students with their research needs, helping them navigate and select reliable, academic resources to assist with classroom requirements. You will ideally possess excellent customer service principles and practices, high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner.
In the role of Library Officer, you administer library systems, ensure library records are up to date as well as whole school resources lists are maintained and processed efficiently so they are accessible and available. Assisting students, staff and parents to select program and age-appropriate materials, and responsibility for preparing and monitoring the library budget is also part of this role.
