Middle Swan Primary School (PS) is a large, well-resourced and well-equipped school, catering for approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school population is drawn mainly from Stratton and the nearby suburbs of Jane Brook and Middle Swan. The school’s priorities include the focus on building staff capacity, developing the foundations of literacy and numeracy and the social and emotional well-being of students and staff.

The Role
Middle Swan PS is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled teacher to join their collaborative team.
Teachers at Middle Swan PS implement a positive and enthusiastic approach, to constructively engage students, in a caring and safe environment. They work closely with all members of the school community, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to advance student outcomes. They rely on productive levels of organisation and collaboration to strengthen all professional relationships.
The successful applicant will ideally have good knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and its components. They will ideally support the initiatives outlined in the school’s Business Plan and implement agreed upon, whole school strategies such as trauma informed practices, whole school texts, ‘Talk 4 Writing’, ‘Talk 4 Reading’ and the key elements of explicit instruction.
